RE: Anybody else have this problem????

I had that problem on my Jayco 10X. The fix was easy the door Handle is held on by 2 screws inside the door...I loosened the screws and adjusted the handle towards the latch..slide to the right.. retightened the screws and never had a problem again.

Have you had Front Bunk End Water Leaks!!!!

I see alot of posts about front end bunk leakage while towing in rain. Of course this is not s scientific poll here but I am hoping that all Hybrid owners will post a easy response yes or no if they have had this problem. I am just trying to find out how wide spread this problem is. I have a 2006 Shamrock 21SS and so far I have not had this problem but then since I have only towed in the rain once even though I have gone camping almost every other weekend since March (Dam I am lucky when it comes to weather)I might have the problem and just do not know it yet
Thanks for your response to my Poll!!
See you around the campfire

RE: Holiday Trav-L-Park Va. Beach

Sure Have live 7 miles away and stay at least twice a year!! 4 swimming pools, Staff is French Canadian for the most part and very nice. This year we stayed over July 4th weekend with 4 other families and had a blast like usual. All the pools were open and clean. The Bath houses were clean even with the campground being loaded to capacity and that is over 1000 sites they have. They had live entertainment every night. If you have kids I would recommend this park they will have fun. It is only a couple of miles from the Ocean front and the have free parking at the Ocean front for guests. We usually just ride the bike path to the beach when we go from the campground. Come to the Beach and have fun!!!:)

RE: Hear ye Hear ye! Harken! Tell me your Sidekick stories!

If you clean it the way I do then you might have a problem …Guess I need to explain. Do not like anything that is remotely dirty instead of my 21SS so after cooking I carry it around to the outside shower and give it a real good cleaning. This works well and gets it looking nice and pretty with some soap and water but do not sit the Sidekick on the ground….If you do there is a good chance that the mud you are making while you are cleaning the grill will stuff itself up into the port that you hook your gas quick disconnect up to. Then the next time you try and use the grill it will not work until you remember that you were foolish enough to do the above mentioned trick. All it takes is a sharp pointy object to clean the port out and you will be back in business. But When the DW is trying to fire the grill off unaware of what you have done, Will have some choice words for you once you explain the problem because you wasted her precious time and are starving the little ones!!!

RE: I fibbed, here's a 4th morning query

The Sidekick fits into the RVQ Bag no Problem, WHen I sold my PUP with the RVQ to BIL he got the RVQ in ther Sidekick box and took the Bag for My sidekick. So if you can find a old RVQ Bag that someone wants to get rid of it will work!!!

RE: Yuck Bunk End Latch

Update!!! Today I got a package of 4 from Forest River in the Mail but decided I would see if they could be cleaned. Took some SuperClean and sprayed it on a rag and Scrubbed.... 90% came off so I am going to keep the old ones on for a little longer. I also but some UV protectant on them to hopefully keep them from deterioating so fast!!

RE: Forest River Shamrock - windows

My 2006 21SS only has Blinds on the kitchen windows and window treatments on all the other windows. The only reason it has blinds in the kitchen I expect is the windows treatment would be a fire hasard that close to the stove!!

RE: Yuck Bunk End Latch

What a suprise first off mine are starting to look bad. So today I called Starcraft since Lovedays posted the number I called them but the lady that answered the phone said since I was not a dealer that I would have to go through my local dealer. So I called them and they started looking into it but I also called Forest River since I have a Shamrock 21SS and got the answering machine so I left a message. 1/2 hour later a young lady called from Forest River Parts department. While I was talking to her I emailed her and sent her a link to this thread. Once she saw what I was talking about she stated she had not seen this before and had to agree for a 2 year old camper this should not be happening. WHen I asked how much the parts would be she asked how many I needed and I said 4. She said she would mail them out later on today and when I again said how much she said she would take care of it.
She is also going to send the link to they're development department and see if they can come up with a solution to this problem.
So my hat is off to Forest River for standing by what they sell!!!

RE: Bye Bye PUP...hello HTT!

Would recommend a good Brake controller I us the Prodigy P3 but there are quite a few others out there that do the job for less. I also Highly Recommend the Equalizer weight distribution hitch which has sway control built in to give you a more stable and safer tow

RE: Hooking rv to the house

I have a dedicated 30 AMP and it is worth the price. No more tripping circuits...My battery is always charged and it is great to have the fridge on loaded with beer and soda for mixed drinks so when the wife sends me to the dog house all I have to do is turn on the A/C crank up the antenna for the TV plug my laptop and I am back in business even if I do get kicked out of the house LOL. Plus it is great to know if I have company they have a place to stay for the evening.

RE: ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS _ NEW DOMETIC RECALL

Well if you are in Virginia Beach I recommend you call Eric's RV instead of going to the dealer. I was lucky enough to win the Dometic Lottery and went by a local RV dealer which I will not name that said well if you drop it off 2 weeks from now on said date we should have it done by the next day!! Well reading the posts from fellow RV Net wmembers it sounded like it was a 1/2 hour fix so I called Eric's RV and they scheduled me and said when I get to they're facility just back in front of the bay doors but do not unhook. So yesterday I took my rig and pulled up and this very nice gentleman came out and 35 minutes I was back on the road again and the only reason it took that long is becuase I was talking the poor guys ear off about RV'ing. O did I mention I asked Eric the owner how much he would charge to look at my Hybrid and see if all the sealant was intact and next thing you know he is doing a full walk around my unit and not only did he not charge me but he gave some advice for free too!!!

RE: towing a htt

Well I just moved from a PUP to my HTT and I think it tows better then the PUP as far as sway goes. I have the 6000lb equalizer and the Prodigy P3 Brake controller and it is a joy to tow. You know it is back there but my rig handles it just fine and I have no problem keeping up with the traffic. I do not like towing over 65 mph because my gas mileage takes a hit but if I need to I have never had a prob staying with traffic doing a little faster. I have the same engine and tranny as you just a little stouter chassis with the 3/4 ton but you will enjoy pulling the hybrid behind the F-150

I like the local U-Haul cause they have metered refill service so you pay for what you need only and you are using your own tank instead of worrying what some else has used your tank for

RE: Securing Cargo

I Carry 2 mountain Bikes and a Childs Bike plus My Coleman Road trip Grill and a 40 gallon tote on the floor inside my 21SS. I keep the grill by the front bunk and the 40 gallon tote in front of the door. The bikes are on they're handlebars and strapped together in front of the slide. Never had any problems so far and had had to make a few evasive manuevers and panic stops.Come to think of it also have the RVQ in the box on the floor also. I usually but the Pillows and blankets around the bikes as a safety measure but they have never moved at all!!
